NITROGEN GENERATOR
A nitrogen generator is a device that produces nitrogen gas (N₂) from the air. It is generally used in industrial and commercial applications to meet pure and dry nitrogen requirements. These devices provide high purity nitrogen by separating nitrogen from ambient air.
How Does It Work?
Nitrogen generators work on two main principles:
PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption):
Air is delivered to the generator with the help of a compressor.
Oxygen and other gases are adsorbed using carbon molecular sieve (CMS).
Only nitrogen passes through and the desired purity is achieved.
Membrane Separation:
Air is passed through a special membrane filter.
While gases such as oxygen and water vapor pass quickly, nitrogen moves more slowly and is separated.
This method is suitable for medium purity levels.
Areas of Use:
Food and Beverage: Packaging, storage and prevention of oxidation.
Chemistry and Pharmaceuticals: Inertization of reaction environments.
Electronics: Preventing oxygen damage in production processes.
Industrial: Laser cutting, tire inflation and corrosion prevention.
Nitrogen generators offer an economical, continuous and safe solution compared to bottled gas systems.
